Self Control – demonstrate self-control and ignore distractions

Take Courage – participates, is honest, expresses feelings and deals with anger appropriately

Attentive Listening – talks at appropriate times, follows directions, listens attentively

Mutual Respect – shows respect, displays good sportsmanship, accepts no

Personal Best – displays positive attitude, accepts responsibility, completes work, shows effort

Individual Rewards-

Students receive cool cat cash for ending their clip on either blue or purple on the behavior chart.  They receive a sticker on their sticker chart when ending on green, blue, or purple.  Once a students earns 5 stickers, they will visit the class treasure box.  They may be rewarded for good behavior with extra cool cat cash throughout the day. The cool cat cash can be spent in the cool cat cash store once a nine weeks.

Rewards

Groups Rewards- Each table has a cup with "jewels" to collect each week. The table with the most "jewels" on Fridays will each receive a $5 Cool Cat Cash.  "Jewels" are given for groups working well together, communicating, listening to each others ideas, taking turns, staying on task, showing respect, etc.

Class Rewards- When compliments are received from myself, other teachers, or staff members, a smiley face is put on our ten frame compliment chart. When the class has filled up our chart, we will have a compliment party to celebrate and our class will get a shout out on CCNT!

Consequences

Grade Level Consequences:

  • The student will sit in the class thinking spot to evaluate their behavior. (3 mins. if clip on yellow/5 mins. if clip on red)

  • The student will take a break in another classroom.

  • The student will lose classroom privileges (supplies, devices, choice centers, etc.)

  • The teacher will assign a natural consequence related to the inappropriate behavior or they may have the student choose an act of kindness to complete.

  • The teacher will contact the parent if inappropriate behavior occurs frequently or if the student physically hurts another student.
